Care for Sick and Injured Pets

At Livingston Animal Hospital, we focus on keeping your pet happy and healthy. Unfortunately, some pets occasionally experience illnesses or injuries that require a veterinarian’s care and attention.

A pet patients digital x-rays.Livingston Animal Hospital offers high quality diagnostic and medical treatments for sick and injured cats and dogs. We provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere to diagnose and treat your pet. A successful recuperation is our goal and our experienced and caring team of veterinarians is supported by our on-site laboratory, ultrasound and digital x-ray capabilities.

We have new digital x-ray equipment on site that provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. We also have access to a mobile ultrasound veterinarian who comes to our office when needed to perform ultrasounds on our patients. This vet also performs echocardiograms, which enables us to look at heartbeat patterns.

In addition, our in-house laboratory facilities provide for chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also use commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostic testing and consultations.

If your dog or cat is experiencing an illness including, but not limited to, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, loss of appetite or lower energy level, our team and facility are here to diagnose and treat your pet. We are also equipped to help your pet recover if it has sustained an injury such as a bite wound, lameness or trauma from an accident (including if your pet is hit by a car).

We see emergencies during our normal hospital hours. If your pet has an after-hours emergency, please call our main telephone number at (973) 992-8888 for instructions.
